Chiropractic & Craniosacral Therapy in Market Harborough

Tracy Dixon

Dr Tracy Dixon DC MSc CST is a registered Chiropractor and Craniosacral therapist, and owner of Talako Therapies. She qualified with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic in 1998 after 5 years of full-time study at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic. During her time in clinical practice, Tracy has been involved in the training of new chiropractic graduates, held study sessions for midwives and trainee GP’s, and given numerous talks to a variety of different groups and clubs.

In 2012, Tracy moved her very busy Chiropractic practice from Northampton to Archway Health Hub in Market Harborough, but in 2014, she was thrown a very unexpected curve ball when she badly broke her arm, leading to an enforced sabbatical from chiropractic.

However, every cloud has a silver lining and Tracy took the opportunity during this time to acquire new skills as a therapist, gaining her Diploma in Craniosacral Therapy from the longest-established College of Craniosacral Therapy  in London. She also trained as a DSE assessor and set up her ergonomic and health assessment company Positura.

Tracy was very excited to return to clinical practice in 2018 and feels that she is able to help a wider range of people with an even wider range of conditions. She has a particular affinity for treating pregnant women, children, and babies, and her Craniosacral skills are particularly relevant for these patients; a baby could receive their first Chiropractic treatment at just a few days old but what Tracy finds amazing now is that treatment of babies with Craniosacral therapy can begin in-utero!

For Tracy, Chiropractic and Craniosacral Therapy are a way of life; they are not just about pain relief but about quality of life, getting well and staying well, and maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit for the future. Tracy knew from a young age that in life she wanted to be able to help people, and with her gentle manner, empathy, and expertise, all channelled through her Chiropractic and Craniosacral work, she is able to achieve this.

It is no surprise that her son is a petrol head, given that Tracy herself used to be a keen racing driver! In 2007, she won a coveted place, out of the 1500 women who applied, in the Formula Woman Racing Championship, bringing her Caterham home 3rd overall. When not behind the wheel herself, Tracy could often be found at a race circuit somewhere, often as Team Chiropractor (from club racing to the Le Mans Endurance Series). Whilst she has hung up her own racing boots, Tracy now spends a lot of her free time supporting her son in National Karting Championships all across the country, helping him to realise his dream of becoming a professional racing driver.
